The RACV Great Victorian __bike Ride is off and rolling, with more than 4,200 riders making their way from Halls Gap to Geelong.
Running throughout the week until Sunday 4 December, the RACV Great Vic includes 527 kilometres of __bike riding through some of Victoria's best landscapes. Bicycle Network General Manager of Events, Rebecca Lane, said that the 2016 route was without doubt a classic, joining two of Victoria’s most iconic attractions.
“This year bike riders will pedal through the Grampians, camp at the 12 Apostles, ride over the Otways and along the Great Ocean Road,” Ms Lane said.
“It will be an extraordinary week that everyone will be sure to remember for many years to come,” she added.
Riders have been graced with sunshine on the early days of the ride, however some crisp spring mornings have forced many to don the gloves when setting off from the campsite.
