Bicycle Collective

The Bicycle Collective is hiring a second-in-command for the bike valet for this upcoming season. Our Salt Lake City bike valet system served 85 events last year across the valley, parking 11500 bikes. Coordinating the bike valet is a great chance to represent and recruit people to get involved at the Collective while supporting cycling in Utah on a massive scale.

The valet coordinator will work with the director of operations to make sure all events are covered and staffed with volunteers in a professional manner. They will take scheduling cues from the Coordinator and work with them on any communication with client event staff.

They are:

  • Responsible for event scheduling and communications
  • Responsible for event setup / breakdown
  • Responsible for driving and securing truck and trailer at events
  • Responsible for scheduling volunteers
  • Responsible for representing the Collective, sharing upcoming events, and being a spokesperson for our programs
  • Responsible for on-site volunteers
  • Responsible for considerately attending bicycles while their owners are absent
  • Responsible for reporting & statistics
  • Date and event name
  • Bikes Parked
  • Submitting Volunteer Hours
  • Dealing with Charitable Donations

The ideal candidate will enjoy bicycling, events, and recruiting people from every walk of life to get involved with the Bicycle Collective. They will have excellent people management skills and be able to operate under pressure. Valet Co-Coordinators must have a valid driver's license. Women, people of color, and people belonging to other underrepresented groups in the bicycling industry are encouraged to apply.

Pay is $12/hr during events, with an hour accommodated on either side for outreach and reporting. Events are already tentatively scheduled for the month of April, but the high season requires availability on evenings and weekends from May-September.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter explaining your interest and suitability for the job and a resume to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with "Bike Valet Coordinator" in the subject line.
