Armstrong won't be competing for any yellow jerseys in the 2015 Tour de France.
After the release of the CIRC report, you’d think Lance might want to lie low for a little. You know, he does have an impending lawsuit over a car accident, and he’s got to pay off his $10 million to SCA Promotions. But Armstrong doesn’t have time for that.
Instead, he is planning to embark on a charity ride this July with Geoff Thomas, a British football player and cancer survivor. Armstrong will ride stages of the Tour before the race rolls through as part of a charity ride that benefits Thomas’s Cure Leukemia organization.
The Daily Mail first reported on the story, following Thomas’s efforts to convince Armstrong to join his mission.
Thomas says that Armstrong's It’s Not About the Bike helped him through his own cancer treatment. He told The Daily Mail that, “I believe bringing him back into the world of fighting cancer can only be good.”
