Bicycle Network: Latest News
Our Vote Bike 2015 election campaign in NSW has had its first win with The Greens announcing a $250 million Bicycle Infrastructure Fund.
Bicycle Network thanks the thousands of people who have taken action by so far. It is making a difference.
Bicycle Network’s CEO Craig Richards met with Greens Transport spokesperson Dr Faruqi only last month to reiterate the importance of a connected and separated bicycle network

The commitment would see an integrated cycleway network over the next 5 years. $185 million will fund the construction of the (Inner) Sydney Regional Bike Network, a 284 km network of separated and shared cycleways connecting 15 Local Government Areas surrounding the Sydney CBD.
An additional $65 million will fund key missing cycling infrastructure projects across Sydney.
The Greens have also committed $231 million to fast-track and expand the Transport Access Program which will ensure the delivery of Park and Ride bicycle storage facilities at stations.
Further information about the Greens commitment can be found in their Transport Vision & 2020 Infrastructure plan.
Bicycle Network will continue to work with The Greens, and all other parties, to ensure similar outcomes for bike riders between now and polling day on 28 March 2015.
It is now more important than ever that we keep up the pressure on NSW election candidates.
